Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the Sirius XM radio show, “Friday Night at The Fights,” a show that Gerry co-hosts with Randy “The Commish” Gordon, the former Chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.
The show airs every Friday on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208 from 6 – 8 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
Our first question comes from Bernard Campbell, who asks:
Allan and Gerry, in professional ranks, does true journalism take a back seat to sponsorship?
Our next question comes from Kenny D., who asks:
Gerry, out of all the top heavyweights you fought over the course of your career, which one hit the hardest?
Gerry answered the following questions on last week’s show:
Our first question came from Pat V., who asked:
Gerry, I watched the fight between Malik Scott and Vyacheslav Glazkov on NBC last week and the fight was ruled a draw. I had Scott way ahead and was once again shocked at the outcome. Did you see the fight and, if so, how did you score it?
Gerry did not agree with the decision and believes Scott won the fight.
Our next question came from Jose Q., who asked:
Gerry, I think that Robert Guerrero has a good chance against Floyd Mayweather if he can stay on top of him and rough him up, taking him out of his comfort zone. How much of a chance do you give “The Ghost” in this one?
Gerry feels that Guerrero will put up a game fight for about five or six rounds and then Mayweather will end it.
