Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the Sirius XM radio show “Friday Night at The Fights,” which Gerry co-hosts with Randy “The Commish” Gordon, former Chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.
The show airs every Friday on Sirius Sport Zone Channel 92 from 6-8 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

Our first question comes from Tony T. who asks:
Hi Gerry, last week Vasyl Lomachenko defeated Gary Russell Jr. in just his third fight to become the WBO Featherweight Champion. My question is; did that fight show how good Lomachenko is or did it show that Russell Jr. is not as good as first thought?
Our next question comes from Paul L. who asks:
Gerry, who do you think Chris Algeiri should fight next after his surprising victory over Ruslan Providnikov? I’ve always heard that when a fighter becomes a Champion they also become a much better fighter. Is that true?
And Gerry answered the following questions last week:
Our first question came from Tony T. who asked:
Gerry, do you think that Deontay Wilder would stand a chance against Klitscho or is he too green?
Gerry feels that Wilder is a great fighter, but isn’t so sure he’s ready for Klitscho.
Our next question came from Kenny D. who asked:
Hi Gerry, I’m 26 years old and I’m interested in becoming a boxer. I haven’t had any formal training or any amateur experience. Am I too old to start a career in boxing at 26?
Gerry suggested that Kenny take up boxing as a hobby and that 26 is too late to start training as a pro.
