Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has signed an 11 fight deal with DAZN, one of the most lucrative deals in sports history. The deal will start on December 15 when Alvarez faces Britain’s Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions will promote up to 10 additional fight nights per year on DAZN, beginning in early 2019 and independent of British promotional company Matchroom Sport.

DAZN Group Executive Chairman John Skipper said: “By bringing Canelo’s fights to DAZN, we will turn his pay-per-view success into a growth engine for subscribers – a truly transformational moment for our business and the entire industry.”
