Kauffman Returns With A Win Over Charles Davis
Heavyweight hope Travis Kauffman, 23-1-(17),made a successful return to the ring by scoring a points win over the unusual distance of seven rounds.
Kauffman defeated Charles Davis,19-23-3-(4), outdoors at the Gameface Sports Complex in Temple, Pennsylvannia.
The bout was originally scheduled for eight but the fight was reduced to seven due to rain. Kauffman won by scores of 70-63.
Estrada Crushes Piedra
Unbeaten Shawn Estrada15-0-(13) crushed the previously unbeaten Felix Piedra inside two rounds at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, California on Saturday night.
Light heavyweight Estrada, decked Pieda heavily in his own corner midway through round two with a combination of punches Piedra attempted to rise referee Jack Rees waved off the fight after 1:23 of the second round.
On the undercard a light heavyweight contest saw Anatolia Dudchenko go the distance over eight rounds and won a unanimous decision against Alfredo Contreras All three judges scored the bout 80-72.
In a special attraction 4 round light welterweight bout, Leon Spinks III fought a majority draw, against Eduardo Melendez.
