Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the Sirius XM radio show “Friday Night at The Fights,” a show Gerry co-hosts with Randy “The Commish” Gordon, former Chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.
The show airs every Friday on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208 from 6 – 8 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
Our first question comes from Steve Young, who asks:
Hi, Gerry. Thank you for all the excitement during your career. The fight that you had with Larry Holmes was one of the best, highest-level matches I have seen and I sincerely hope that you are happy and healthy. You fought both Larry and George Foreman. I’m interested in your thoughts on the strengths of these two fighters and how they might compare with each other and other all-time greats.
Our next question comes from Bernie Campbell, who asks:
My question this week is for both for Gerry and Randy. Given the fact that both of you have experience in the ring, what would you each recommend to clean the system of the toxin element?
Gerry answered the following questions last week:
Our first question came from Sean S., who asked:
Gerry, last week, Carl Froch defeated George Groves by TKO in the ninth round. Many people, myself included, felt the fight was stopped prematurely. Do you agree?
Gerry agreed that the fight may have been stopped prematurely and feels there may be a rematch.
Our next question came from Chris S., who asked:
Gerry, based on Manny Pacquiao’s total domination of Brandon Rios, I’d like to see him fight Tim Bradley again. Who would you like to see him fight next?
Gerry thinks it would be good for Pacquiao to avenge a loss he feels was undeserved.
