Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the SiriusXM radio show, “Friday Night at The Fights,” a show that Gerry co-hosts with Randy “The Commish” Gordon, the former Chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.
The show airs every Friday on Sirius channel 94 and XM channel 208 from 7 – 9 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
Our first question comes from Tony T., who asks:
Gerry, most folks are not giving Josesito Lopez much of a chance against Saul Alvarez. Do you agree?
Our next question comes from Richard P., who asks:
Gerry, as a fellow Long Islander, I’ve always been curious about one thing about you. What made you decide to go into boxing?

Gerry answered the following questions on the air last Friday.
Our first question came from Juan D., who asked:
Hey Gerry, longtime listener and I love the show! My question is this; most people are picking [Sergio] Martinez to beat [Julio Cesar] Chavez Jr. I don’t think it’s gonna be that easy. What do you think?
Gerry thinks Chavez will put up a good fight against Martinez and that it will not be an easy night for either man.
Our next question came from Victor T., who asked:
Gerry, last week on the show, you, Randy and Allan were discussing the paydays that Lamont Peterson missed out on because of positive test for testosterone that ended up being too small a dose to make a difference. My question is, is someone responsible that he can get reimbursed from or is he just out the money?
Gerry thinks it’s an issue that’s going to have to be addressed if fights are going to be canceled based on incorrect test results.
