Each week, Gerry will answer as many of your questions as he can on the Sirius XM radio show “Friday Night at The Fights,” a show Gerry co-hosts with Randy “The Commish” Gordon, former Chairman of the New York State Athletic Commission.
The show airs every Friday on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208 from 6 – 8 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
Our first question comes from Marc S., who asks:
Gerry, out of Tommy Hearns, Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran, who do you think was truly the best fighter?
Our next question comes from Rod S., who asks:
People are talking about Tyson Fury fighting David Haye. Who wins that one?
Gerry answered the following questions on last week’s show.
Our first question came from Russ M., who asked:
Gerry, who do you think would win in a fight between Lucas Matthysse and Gennady Golovkin?
Gerry feels it is a very interesting match-up that would be very exciting and would go about five or six rounds. The winner could be either man.
Our next question came from Gene T., who asked:
Muhammad Ali once said he won 90% of his fights before he ever entered the ring by getting inside his opponents’ heads. Is that really that effective against a pro fighter?
Gerry explained that if you can get inside your opponent’s head, you can oftentimes rattle them and throw them off their respective game plans.
