SHAME ON FLOYD MAYWEATHER

04-Sep-10 21:42

I’m sure that everyone has seen or heard the recent inflammatory comments by Floyd Mayweather.  As an African American, or better yet, a human, I was appalled by the lack of outrage and condemnation of Floyd’s comments. It was a stark reminder that we as human beings haven’t progressed as far as we believe.  In his mind, Floyd may have been attempting to stoke the fire keeping Mayweather/Pacquiao on the minds of boxing fans.  The reality is Mayweather has proven himself to be a racist of the worst kind.  He may in fact be one of the greatest boxers of all time.  However, as a human being, Mayweather is an ignorant loud mouth that is setting a terrible example for his children.  Boxing commissions should take immediate action and suspend his license.   Fans should boycott any future fights until he publically apologizes to Pacquiao and the boxing public.  Is this really how far America has progressed in 2010?  Shame on you Floyd.
