In the main event, comebacking Michael Grant would stop Thomas Williams in the third round of their bout. But the bout was labeled an 'exhibition' with the controversial nature of Williams( for more info, go to Totalaction.com and Charles Jay's latest edition of 'Operation Cleanup' which deals with Williams and his past exploits). Sources tell MaxBoxing that a late replacement was actually driving up to Green Bay to replace Williams, but got lost on the way up and after a long delay- in which the crowd got very restless at the Menominee Bingo Casino, Williams would be allowed to face Grant. Williams was involved in an alleged fixed fight versus Richie Melito in August of 2000 and is currently under federal indictment and is awaiting an August trial on federal sports bribery.
